Not Ready

I thought I was ready to return to social media. I was wrong. As I read posts about how a few tens of thousands dead and how it shouldn’t impede everyone else’s life, I become both sad and angry.

Those tens of thousands were people with families no different than my father except cause of death. They left behind children, grandchildren, siblings, spouses, and friends. People who will never get another “Happy Birthday” message from them. It isn’t just a random number once it’s your loved one who has died. And I think most of us have forgotten that.
